Abstract

The article is devoted to solving the urgent scientific and practical problem of continuous monitoring of sleep quality at home. The relevance of the study is justified by the rapid growth in the number of comorbid disorders caused by chronic stress and circadian rhythm disturbances, which negatively affect a person's physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The paper provides a detailed analysis of the role of sleep as a fundamental indicator of health, ensuring tissue regeneration, strengthening the immune system, and supporting cognitive brain functions. The authors emphasize that traditional clinical diagnostic methods, such as polysomnography, are costly and inconvenient for long-term use, which necessitates a transition to preventive medicine based on modern sensor technologies. The article focuses on the creation of a cyber-physical paradigm that involves the close integration of computing resources with physical life processes through the use of wearable devices such as smart watches and fitness bracelets. The paper proposes a comprehensive method for monitoring sleep quality based on the collection of multimodal physiological signals, and also integrates the results of subjective assessment using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and the Beck Depression Inventory-II, which allows for the formation of a multidimensional health profile and the identification of early signs of pathologies such as apnea, depressive disorders, and cardiovascular diseases. The scientific novelty of the method lies in the use of mathematical modeling of weekly sleep dynamics in the form of a matrix, which allows for in-depth analysis of the patient's condition and detection of deviations from reference values in real time. The practical significance of the research is realized through proposals for the architecture of a cyber-physical system, which includes mobile applications for patients and doctors, a cloud platform for data storage, and verification mechanisms through the medics.ua system. The system will provide a closed feedback loop, automatically documenting results in an electronic medical record and initiating notifications to the doctor in case of critical changes in condition. The proposed approach allows for partial compensation for the shortage of specialists by automating the initial analysis of data, improving the effectiveness of treatment and rehabilitation, and providing personalized recommendations for sleep hygiene.
