Abstract

Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death and a major contributor to disability worldwide. The age-standardised rate of cardiovascular disease has started to rise in some high-income countries where it had previously been falling. The number of cases of cardiovascular disease almost doubled from 271 million in 1990 to 523 million in 2019, and the number of deaths from cardiovascular disease steadily increased from 12.1 million in 1990 to 18.6 million in 2019.

Given the fact that there is currently a trend towards automation in the medical field, which increases the efficiency of using modern medical resources, and given the importance of constant self-diagnosis and monitoring of the health of cardiovascular patients, such measurements and monitoring should be automated and made permanent as much as possible. In this case, a method of monitoring the health status of cardiovascular patients can be used to automate and continuously measure a person's heart rate and blood pressure, which will provide continuous monitoring of a person's heart rate and blood pressure in real time and notify a person of a heart disorder or a deviation from the person's normal pressure as soon as these deviations occur. Thus, the current challenge is to continuously monitor the health status of cardiovascular patients by developing an appropriate method for monitoring the health status of cardiovascular patients, which will be the purpose of this study.

The developed method of monitoring the health status of cardiovascular patients provides: every minute and every five minutes formation of a set of indicators of the user's health status, analysis of indicators using the developed rules and issuance of a user risk alert or issuance of a user risk alert with sending data on the existing risk to the user's family doctor and/or family member.
