METHOD FOR EVALUATING THE EFFICIENCY OF RADIO SIGNAL DETECTION OF TECHNICAL MEANS OF UNAUTHORIZED INFORMATION ACQUISITION UNDER CONDITIONS OF DELIBERATE INTERFERENCE

The paper develops a method for evaluating the efficiency of detecting radio signals emitted by technical means of unauthorized information acquisition under the influence of deliberate mixed interference. It is shown that the use of only classical indicators, such as the probability of correct detection and the probability of false alarm, is insufficient for a complete assessment of radio monitoring systems under non-stationary, non-Gaussian, and adaptive interference conditions.
A system of efficiency indicators is proposed, including classical, informational, and implementation characteristics of the detection process. The classical indicators include the probability of correct detection and the probability of false alarm; the informational indicators include the Kullback-Leibler distance estimate and the information distinguishability coefficient; and the implementation indicators include decision-making time and computational complexity.
A mathematical model of the process for evaluating the effectiveness of radio signal detection in the presence of additive, multiplicative, and impulse noise has been developed, and the feasibility of using the Kulbak–Leibler information criterion as a generalized measure of the distinguishability of statistical hypotheses regarding the presence or absence of a dangerous radio signal has been demonstrated. A comparative analysis of the proposed approach with an energy detector, the CFAR procedure, and the 2D-LH method has been conducted.
