Abstract

In the work, based on the analysis of the peculiarities of the structure of the solar panel optimizer, the requirements for the main methods of tracking the point of maximum power are established. A method of controlling the solar panel optimizer is proposed, which is based on the calculation of the current at the point of maximum power Imp and the voltage at the point of maximum power Ump at the measured values of solar radiation intensity and temperature of the solar panel. A simulation model of the solar panel optimizer in the Simulink environment was developed, which includes two simulation models of CL-P72295 solar panels from the Chinese company ABISOLAR, one with the solar panel optimizer and the other without it.
