The article considers modern approaches to cost optimisation in IT projects in order to increase the efficiency of cost management. The key stages of budget control, methods of cost planning and financial risk assessment are analysed. Particular attention is paid to the implementation of integrated approaches: a combination of accurate planning, regular monitoring, modern tools and flexible response to changes. A multi-level model of IT project cost management has been developed. The application of this model is demonstrated on the example of a specific IT project, which includes a detailed analysis of its effectiveness using specific metrics and criteria. The results of the study confirm that a multi-level value management model can effectively structure the financial management process by dividing functions between strategic, tactical and operational levels. The study also identifies common mistakes that lead to budget overruns. The results of the study may be useful for IT project managers, financial analysts and digital consultants.
