The use of water by the population increases every year. And this is not only an ecological problem, but also a problem of human survival in our time. It became especially acute now during the military invasion of the territory of Ukraine. The ecology of our country is being destroyed, and our rivers especially suffer from the remnants of the invaders' inhuman behavior. During the war, the population faced a shortage of water more than once. Therefore, the problem of economical use and consumption of water is urgent. This problem, like many others, was solved by saving money in everyday life, by using water meters. The experience of using household water meters has proven its expediency and effectiveness, precisely because the use of such meters allows for real savings in both water volumes and money, because only the amount of water actually consumed was paid for.
The number of water meters installed in apartments is constantly increasing, and along with this, an increasing number of such meters require scheduled verification. The reason is that over time, the accuracy of the measurements decreases and the error increases, as a result of which residents quite often suffer. A factor in the deterioration of metrological characteristics of meters is the time interval of the device's operation and the conditions under which it functions. Factors that influence incorrect indicators are of a different nature. Therefore, meter verification is mandatory for all users. An improved method of on-site verification of meters has been developed. Verification at the place of operation of the meters made it possible to reduce the cost and time of providing the verification service. An additional effect of the optimization of the process of checking water meters is that the checks are carried out taking into account the specifics of the installation of the meters.
